The White Rose - By Thaksha

On October 10, 2010, I danced a bird dance. The dance was about the red rose not liking the white rose because she was a plain colour. The bird felt sad so the bird killed itself and put the blood on the white rose so she doesn't look plain. After the white rose was jealous because I was pretty. Then the white rose asked the red rose where the bird was so we looked around and found the bird dead. I was the white rose, Prena was the red rose and Ranosa was the bird. I did the dance at an annual program last year. I did a good job. I did expression. My parents liked the dance.

On March 3, 2011, I danced a song called Shankarabharanam with Chowbaby. I danced at a temple. I did good. I was Parvati. I didn't look at Chowbaby. I could do more eye movements next time.

Shivaratri 2011 Performance by Prena

On Wednesday March 2nd, I went to dance at the temple. I had to dance at the first temple and second temple. When I was about to dance at the first temple I felt nervous. When I was dancing I kept thinking of random things because everyone was staring at me. Suddenly, I forgot most of the steps. So I did things very bad. At the end part I remembered that and did it good. At the second temple I had to dance 2 songs. First, is to do Puspanjali alone and do Shankarabharanam with Ranosa. At the first temple I only danced Pusapanjali. At the second temple I did better than the first one. When I was doing Shankarabharanam, in the middle of the dance, Ranosa's ottiyanam fell apart. When it got on the ground I tried to dodge it without looking on the floor. When the dance was over Prisha, Chow, Chowbaby and Sinthu helped us collect the pieces so the other people could dance. I was about to go home, but my dad wanted to go to Prisha's dance. Prisha and Chow did Shankarabharanam together. Also they both did Puspanjali together. For me the program was good and bad.
